Question revenge of the mutant camels II (mastertronic)

Revenge of the mutant camels II (icon)

http://hol.abime.net/?id=1234

does anyone know if this game is available to download anywhere.?

I never knew about it, i really like revenge of the mutant camels by llamasoft, and all them psychedelic minter games.
i've checked llamasoft and jeff minters pages, but it wasnt done by him so they don't have it to download.
does anyone know about this game, has anyone played it,? is it any good,? if its anywhere near as good as minters version, i need to play it. doubt it will be though

sorry about all the questions

Game FOUND!

Just found this rare game - on an Astronut compilation!
(Non-TOSEC, though.)

In the zone. Enjoy!

PS if anyone has a standalone version, please post it. Thanks!

Apologies for resurrecting such a deliriously old topic, wasn't sure what the protocol was. Anyhoo, desperate googling led me here and it looked like my best hope at tracking down a copy of the non-Minter Revenge II. Is it possible that anyone here still happens to have a copy of this game, either on its own or in compilation form? It's something of a treasured childhood memory for me, being my first experience of Jeff's weird world (even before I discovered the games he actually made), but no luck to date in acquiring a copy

Thanks in advance!

I just finishing making a standalone version from the disk you provided Belgo

In The Zone! I've tested (and looks good to me) but I guess it may need more testing before spreading...

I've checked / tested this modified disk some more tonight by:

1) Comparing again which files aren't needed against the original; so were removed:
a) Cracktro (i.e. the file "....")
b) Startup Sequences for Motorbike Madness & Helter Skelter (i.e. the files "1" + "3").
c) Readme + Text files.
d) Anything related to Motorbike Madness (i.e. the directory "motorbike").
e) Anything related to Helter Skelter (i.e. just the one file "helter-skelter").

2) Used Hex-Editor to look at the "Loader" file and could see the remaining files on disk being referenced for Revenge of the Mutant Camels II.

3) Play tested the game numerous times through various levels and then when dead back to title screen.

So; I would say this is all good to go

Thanks DamienD, it's certaintly better than nothing, but knowing how often compact versions were horribly mutilated, I'd love it if a proper copy turned up.

Yeah me too but for now that's the best we will get

I really prefer having 1 game per disk as opposed to stuff that I'll never use...

I also made a modified .ADF of "Super Twintris" from the magazine disks for this reason. It was simply one file to load so very easy; let me know if you want this.

Have you updated the Mutant Camels II in the Zone or is the one that's there O.K?

Heya Arnie,

Nope, haven't updated the one that's in The Zone! It's all good

Last night I just triple checked everything again to make sure all is ok and I didn't miss anything (so thought I'd mention what steps I took when modifying the compilation ADF).

I have the original disk(single version - no compilation) but I`m not sure if the disk still contains the data. Can`t read the disk on my A4000. So I created a WWarp-image and uploaded the archive to the Zone. Maybe you can have a look to it DamienD?
If necessary I can provide pictures of the disk and /or Box-Cover for HOL.

Pretty sure I upped the scans way back when to HOL. There's copy protection on track 1 (game is NDOS and only boots on A500 here), so I had to make an extended ADF of my original disk.

In the Zone. I don't emulate, so let me know if the extended ADF works.....

@DamienD
Long time no see! How the hell are ya??!!

Thanks DrBong, I've had a quick play and it seems to be working ok!
Although for some reason the title music is always messed up when I first load it (same with the version Damien uploaded) but it was fine after I died and it went back to the menu screen.
