A2091 Zulu SCSI micro SD card
Hi
I have an A2000 with an A2091 controller, today I tried my new zulu scsi compact 2040 adapter. I formatted the 32GB microSD card in my PC in exfat format. I made an hardfile in WinUAE with a size of 10GB with extension .hda I partitioned the card with toolbox in my A2000 with OS3.2 install floppy, then formatted the two 2GB partitions I made. Everything went smooth with installation of OS3.2 which I upated to OS3.2.1 then finally to OS3.2.2 The installation is working fine, in my A2000 but I have the following problem: When I try to use the microSD card in WinUAE at my PC, I get the message, that the card need to be formatted. I would really like to move files from my WinUAE installation to my A2000. Anybody know what to do? Before installation of the amiga files, I could see the HD0.hda and the zululog.txt files in the microSD card. Rgds Henrik |

If you indeed partitioned the card, then the exFat + hda file are gone now and the card is unreadable on PC. If you acted on the .hda file only, I don't see why it should not work any more on the PC. Does the ZuluSCSI leave the exFat partition in an unclean state? Is this the same PC which you used to create the .hda file? |

Thank you for reply Thomas.
Did you partition the card (is this even possible?) or the .hda file? My mistake, the .hda file was partitioned... If you indeed partitioned the card, then the exFat + hda file are gone now and the card is unreadable on PC. If you acted on the .hda file only, I don't see why it should not work any more on the PC. Does the ZuluSCSI leave the exFat partition in an unclean state? Yes, I think so, before installation, I tried a test installation on a 20MB .hda file, on the same microSD card, I had no problem reading that in my PC... Is this the same PC which you used to create the .hda file? Yes, the same PC... |

I am happy to write, that I found the problem.
The A2091 controller was acting up, I tried to start all over by formatting the micro sd card and and making a new HD0.hda image at the micro sd card. After partisioning in toolbox, I got a error message and the connection to the card was lost. Eventually I removed the A2091 controller, cleaned the edge connectors, cleaned and reseated the DMAC chip. Now everything works, I can read the image file in my PC. ?? |
