Thank you, but I try to mount an image it says:

"PLEASE READ ANY IMAGE DISK FILES"

Also, the LOAD IMAGE button on the lower left of the screen is INACTIVE (grayed out), is it because I have to register this software first?

I am trying to convert ADF files to real floppy diskettes to be used on either my A1200, or my A500.

the only options available are DISK to ADF, and CREATE ADF, that is all, the other options are INACTIVE. Why???

Oh, and I am using the latest version of GoADF!

You have to load ADFs list (Dir at the top of the screen, use "..." button), then click an ADF in left window, then that LOAD IMAGE button is activated. You click it and then click Mount.

And you are using GoADF in Workbench / DOS. Do you expect it will somehow run ADFs that are non-system? It is the same when you insert NDOS disk in WB - you will see an icon of the disk and thats all.

The new GoADF release is coming (slowly

) - all the planned functionalities, including the ARexx port, are ready (I'm still working on some ARexx commands), and I'm testing it.

A video preview below, ARexx + GoADF in action.

The script in the movie calls the GoADF window on the front of the Workbench (UNICONIFY and GOADFTOFRONT commands), loads the image into GoADF (LOADIMAGE command), checks if the loaded image is a DOS disk and gets a disk label (ISDOSDISK and GETLABEL commands), and then mounts it to the AD0 drive (MOUNT 0 command) and unmounts (UNMOUNT 0) after 10 seconds. Finally, closes GoADF with the QUIT command.

PS. The new release will be ready when it's ready

Great program, just Paypaled for it.

One thing, have I missed something, but is it impossible to change the name of the written file (before writing it)? I have loads of disks named "Empty" it seems...and having to rename all files one after another slows me down, I have hundreds of disks to ADF

I wrongly assumed that was only for changing dirs. Have been away from Amigas for 20 years, I'm a bit rusty (and don't know half the tools recommended today).

For the "Image to Disk" option or writing an .adf to a real floppy disk, GoADF doesn't seem to see Catweasel disk types e.g. TD0, TD1, would it be possible to add support for these drive types?

Unfortunately I don't have Catweasel, and it would be difficult for me to provide good software and support, so it won't be there for now. I don't even know what device supports TDx drives, probably not trackdisk.device?

Ahh, no worries, I thought it would be simple to add support. I think Catweasel uses multidisk.device for it's DD and HD Amiga drive types.

I found a problem. I was checking some DMS files and thought I'd try something from WHDLoad.

ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/amiga/demos/Scoopex/

Then.. Scoopex.2-Unlimited-1.dms & Scoopex.2-Unlimited-2a.dms. DMS 1 unpacks fine, but 2..doesn't GoADF gives an error about ADF being the wrong size. I'm currently using OS 3.2.1, and OS 3.5. Same result.

The disk 2 has the particularity to have been archived in 2 parts.
Scoopex.2-Unlimited-2a.dms
Cylinder 00>39
Scoopex.2-Unlimited-2b.dms
Cylinder 40>79
Both files are needed to have a working disk...

GoADF will not support images with a partial number of cylinders, but I will add a detection for this in a future version, and GoADF will display the appropriate message.

All of my own DMS stuff were full disks. It wasn't very often I came across split DMS files. Writing to DF0: of A then B went fine. Aside from the above DMS files AD0: or OS3.2.1's DA0: has some challenges, which I'll look into more...as I create moments to do so.

Any plans to support DMS/ADF/ADZ to mounted AD0-3:? Image to Disk only has support for DF0 to DF3. This could be a very useful for when making/modifying ADF/Z files. :-)
