What demo ended with a spinning axe approaching the screen, followed by a...
...followed by a picture of the unfortunate victim getting the axe in the head? It was a gory (but hand drawn) picture, and looked like it was from an 80's horror film. That was just the final sequence of the demo, the only other sequence I recall involved rotating blocks.
It had a particularly good rave soundtrack, with a nice Prodigy-esque breakbeat in there. The track would speed up toward the finale. Thanks for any suggestions! |

Tremendous, musashi5150! As soon as you mentioned the name a flood of memories started coming back. Thank you, I'm going to check out Lech as well!
I don't suppose you have any memories of Wit Premium appearing on a covermount CD at all? I'm curious where I obtained it, I only had access to a handful of demos back then and most of my software was from magazines. |

You're welcome - they are actually a couple of my favourites
If I had to guess, I'd say it was on a CU Amiga cover CD... and if you pushed me I'd say November 1995 because that had a good selection of Aminet7 content on it and I loved it to death at the time |

Oh now then, that takes me back because I definitely had that CU Amiga cover CD! It was their first one wasn't it?
I didn't have the fondest memories of it though... I remember spotting it in WH Smith (or was it John Menzies at the time) and being so excited seeing a CD-ROM stuck to the cover which I assumed would work in my CD32. I got the magazine home and was so disappointed finding it wouldn't boot up. But all was well a year or two later when I obtained a proper CD-ROM drive for my A1200 Still remember the feeling of sifting through the directories of those CU Amiga discs and other Aminet discs I picked up. So much stuff to check out! |
