speed up Winuae
I start this thread as a method to ask about some aspects on the host-side of Amiga emulation using WinUAE.
For most of you, it will be somewhat pointless because you'll be using post-PIII machines, but for us Notebook Amiga lovers it should be usefull. My first question is about that "cpu idle setting" Toni mentioned in the Public Betas thread: where is that setting? how does it affect Winuae's CPU usage measurement? Thanks! |

I'm not sure about the impact of that setting on 'normal' emulation (only use it for some high end AGA demos), but it surely is worth a try |

Ok, thanks, CyberDruid! I will try.
Btw, would a 400 to 533mhz memory speed improvement help with winuae? Is 133Mhz in memory speed that important/noticeable? |

no, hahaha! But an Atom machine without out-of-order execution and small cache runs almos the same as a PIII. I said PIII for comparision purposes.
