Spelunker and Co.
OK guys. We all know about "Emerald Mines" and "Skulldiggery", and dozens of others in the same genre, commercial and PD.
I would like to know, does anyone else here like cutesy cave exploring type games? Here, I took a screenie of "Spelunker" on the NES. Love these types of games. How about you vote? |

This is a great Amiga cave exploration game: Cavitas. It's not really cute, but you fly around caverns, illuminating the walls with your light, shooting enemies and collecting keys.
I don't think that anyone else has played it - nobody wants to WHDLoad it and no working ADF exists. |

I remember playing Spelunker on my C64. was it ever released on the Amiga? There was also a freeware PC game called spelunker in which you moved around in the EOB view style and had to conserve batteries and ropes.

I'll put my hand up too,I played it on the C64. Recalled how it took an age to load on disk, even with the "patience is a virtue" message!!
not a bad little game for its type. |

LOL
I used to play Spelunker on MSX, which has a much better version than the C64 one (As usual ) The arcade version and its sequel were very cool, by the way. |

I never played Rodland too much. Loved Parasol stars and Rainbow islands though.

Hmm I didn't notice the poll. But I voted yes because I like the cave type games. If the screenshot of Benefactor hadn't been of world 1 I probably wouldn't even have downloaded it.
