AMIGA 2000 - chipram mod gone wrong.

I got an Amiga 2000 yesterday and decided to do the 1 mb chip ram mod since I figured I couldn't possibly screw it up!

Well... I guess I managed to somehow

I tested the machine before starting with the systest or whatever program and everything checked out.

The mod itself is couldn't possibly have gone wrong since it's just to switch the Agnus and just to cut one trace and move a jumper.

The thing is I decided to desolder the left-behind battery pins and clean a little more and I guess I must have done something bad when doing that.

Status now is that the monitor gets a signal (shows NTSC) but the screen remains black (a couple of times I think it was Blue), the keyboard lets me toggle shift lock.

Undoing the mod and putting in the original Agnus doesn't work either it leaves me with different coloured screens!

I've checked all the chips (CPU, Custom chips, CIAs) in an Amiga 500 and they all work fine, also checked the agnus socket and it looks fine.

Anyone have a suggestion and am I right to think the problem is related to me messing with the battery area!

MB rev. 4.1
