Not even Exotica has them yet You can record it with WinUAE however. On the 'Output' window click on the '...' button in the upper right, select '*.wav' in the combobox and enter your filename. Before the music starts press on 'AVI output enabled' and record it. You need to cut it afterwards, but it's a good method cupturing these really custom formats

@TCD

Just the man I was gonna ask

Yeah! I've done all that before. I do remember having the character editor at some point, maybe all those years ago when an Amiga was an Amiga 'n' not a poxy emulation

Edit: Still it's better than having no Amiga at all

astuermer seemed to have uploaded these ages ago, but i don't have them anymore.

btw i'm sure that some old version of DOpus can play some cps "form" file of EoB, but i don't think the chargen music is one of these either.
i'll see if i can find it somewhere...

edit... TCD beat me to it nice save mate

Yep! I'll give it a go mate

Hmmm. Mod name would be helpful, surely someone knows what it was originally called, I'm sure it would never of been called "Eye of the Beholder - CharGen"

no, you see, the data of the song is stored inside some compressed file, the samples used in another (if i have understood it correctly) you can only rip it or use the original software they used to make it.

I think marco meant ripping it from the game files DH Even if it could be ripped, I don't know if a player for that format exists...

i'm sad to report that i've found the files already ripped (by someone else, maybe astuermer?) in a zip while i was searching for the ripper...

i want to rip them anyway myself, just to see if it is possible

however, they are in the zone

Think my speed is letting me down, it's running too slow 'n' the pages are taking ages to load in properly 'n' I'm sure I'm missing stuff too maybe I should wait for 30mins before submitting any replies, just to make sure everything has loaded in properly

No point in doing that though, unless you guy's are gonna wait 30mins too.

Sounds like a reconstruction to me. The speed is wrong and the original filetype is most likely not a mod However thanks for the files marco

@DemonHellraiser

i give up... i cannot make work the ripper Thief properly ( the disk version i have, perfect amigados, this piece of crap of catweasel doesn't want to read, and the aminet version needs is to be set up on a bootable disk, which i did, and still likes to create me problems which i have not the will to solve.)

Thief, i've tested on my real amiga, can find stuff in the memory of the machine after a reset, from the previous session, provided you reset the game soon after the music or graphic that you want to rip is loaded.

i've tryed the exoticripper and noiseripper too, but these needs to be launched by the same hd session as the game, i think, and this, with EoB is a problem, as the game gets loaded only in chip memory and it don't seems to exit to dos on my classicWB: it would probably need a vanilla Workbench 1.3 HD installation.

or you could use the whdload version, but i don't know what happen to the virtual memory after the game exits.

so... does want some more adventurous guy try it? all of them are on Aminet!
