Escape key in Budokan

...basically doesn't work at all.

No matter what settings, I can map anything I like, but nothing recognises Escape being pressed in the game.

Which is a shame because it's the only way you can tell it to use anything other than the joystick, which doesn't recognise the Fire button in the game.

Latest FS-UAE, Workbench 3.1 with Amiga Forever KS and OS, latest macOS on a 2015 MacBook Pro 11,5.

Anyone got any thoughts, or things to try...?

I'm not sure the escape key is supposed to do anything in the Amiga version. From https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/docs.php?id=260 ("Amiga Command Summary Card"):

"The Amiga version of Budokan doesn't need the Configuration menu described in the manual. Music and sound effects are always turned on. The joysticks, keyboard, and keypad are always active."

(The manual which talks about the escape key is probably common to several ports of the game.)

I don't have any problems with the fire button here. You shouldn't really have either.
- Does the fire button work in other games?
- Have you tried configuration your controller in FS-UAE Launcher settings? The fire button is the button labelled as "south button".
- Have you perhaps enabled autofire in Launcher? That could possibly interfere.
