I haven't downloaded T4 yet, as I'm on 56K ...
But judging from the screenshots, what I don't like, is the Turrican sprite it self. He looks as it he has a hump! ... Crippled! The level graphics & design looks excellent. Very professional work… But I’ll have to see it in action to have a clearer view. How good is the animation & Bosses? The original Turrican II was one of the main reasons I bought an AMIGA! Chris Huelsbeck’s awesome soundtrack gets into your soul! I don’t understand why Factor5 never made an A1200 version of Turrican? That would have rocked! How does T4 compare to Turrican II in the music & gameplay department? Turrican II PC-DOS version is the best out of all the systems that it has been released on imho. It’s shocking that Sunsoft managed to squeeze the AMIGA quality soundtrack from the Sound Blaster Pro back then! Also, with 256 on screen colors, compared to the 32-64 of the AMIGA / Genesis / PCE versions & 128 of the SNES version, they don’t quite match the PC version quality wise imo. It’s a pity that Turrican PC isn’t supported by DOS-BOX emu yet! It freezes after the title screen & there is not music! How good is that other remake T2002 by the way? Judging by the screenshots, it’s using level graphics of the PC version & the AMIGA Turrican I & II character sprite. Apparently, it seems that they’re currently working on a GBA version as well! I was very pleased with both T2002 & T4 (Turrican Funeral I think it's called). Good GFX and a very similar style and I AM A HUGE TURRICAN FAN!

Was the 3D version of Turrican any good?
Who would win in a fight? Turrican, or Samus Aran from Metroid? |

Using Copper technic, the Amiga Turrican 2 could achieve a lot more colours than the PC for the background of the 1st level.
But the basic in-game colours are still no more than 32-64Half-Bright colours. The textures of the PC version have more detail than the AMIGA T2, |

No, but he does have a kick-ass armor that is also based on the most advanced technology of his time, shoots all these powerful laser beams from every part of his body, uses smart bombs & mass destruction weapons same as Turrican.
The grappling hook was only introduced in Turrican 3 & in the episodes that followed, by the way. The land mark of the series is T2 imo which did not have the grappling hook. |

Fair do's, but Samus and Turrican are very similar. Turrican was based on Metroid wasn't it?
I'd quite like to see a "Sonic and Knuckles" style crossover. Samus using her unique tools to traverse a world, and Turrican whatever is unique to him to create a different path, kinda like how Knuckles can climb and punch through walls to go places Sonic can't and vice versa |
