Squirrel or Surf Squirrel SCSI teardown pics?

Has anyone got a Squirrel or Surf Squirrel PCMCIA SCSI adaptor that they'd be willing to disassemble and take some pictures of? It would probably be best to work on a non-functional one, since opening the casing would likely damage it.

I want to see which SCSI chip is inside, with a view to providing info to allow it to be emulated in WinUAE.

From info gathered across the net, including the "Amiga Hardware Database", it uses the WD 53C96 controller IC. I have seen pics of the circuit board knocking around but can't remember where, I imagine it would have been on here or over on Amibay. It was quite some time ago though, probably 3 year at least.
Try a search in the hardware section and see if it brings anything up.

Do you mean NCR 53C96? (At least I hope so, registers are nearly identical to 53C94 which is already emulated)

Probably yes, I came across the WD naming in a post somewhere, I presumed it meant Western Digital. That is just guesswork on my part though.

Thanks, that pic isn't linked on the Squirrel & Surf Squirrel page. Would be nice to see the Squirrel board to check whether it has a 53C96 or 53CF96.

Alas I only have a surf squirrel, would have cracked it open otherwise. The case definitely seems to be single use, it's glued/melted together somehow.

Jope, would you be able to dump the PCMCIA attribute memory of your Surf Squirrel? That will be needed in order to implement emulation.

With the card in place, boot from floppy or IDE then use a program like Mon to dump the region $A00000 to $A1FFFF.
