Marvin's marvellous adventure AGA - which config
I am trying to find a way to play Marvin's Marvellous Adventure AGA on WinUAE. Somehow the background layers and the clouds are somewhat corrupted. There's basically lines appearing and weird tearing going on in the bg...
Does anyone know of a way to make it run flawlessly? |

Hmmm, haven't tried it out but... What settings are you using?
About a year ago we had a bit of a debate on the best settings to use for AGA games. Maybe this thread will help you http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=19904 |

Oh, I should mention that there are one or two games I've come across that don't like "Config 5"
For example The Chaos Engine... For this you need to use: ... CHIP RAM = 2 MB ... SLOW or FAST RAM = none |

I think the original poster is right on this one.
Using a standard stock A1200 configuration with or without the blitter options, there is a noticable background issue. The clouds are a little screwed and you can see there are lines on the background which follow the scrolling. I've tried tweaking the display settings but no joy. By tweaking settings (different CPU etc...) I can only make it worse, not better. (On screenshot two you can clearly see them, they are going up the tall purple 'thing' in the near background. @P-J
That's exactly what I meant! But how did someone get the hall of light screenshots, then? Are those captured from a real A1200? |

Have spoken to Cody-- He says he took the screens using WinUAE, but can't remember if he using ADF's or a WHD install. He's going to try and find the screens which will help shed some light on what version of WinUAE he used.
@rsn8887 : Have you tried an earlier version of WinUAE to see if it's a problem that is recently introuduced? |

I'm also intrested in getting a working version of this. Can someone (ie someone who's good at sorting out these things, like killer gorilla) upload a working WHDLoad version, *please*
