Question: What does "Lined"

Of course, you have to copy and rename the library, remove the extension.
This is something I know well

And did you remove icon_lib.exe from AfA_OS_LIBS: ?? (as I told you in reply to your very first post here)
No, I have not removed anything,icon_lib.exe icon is in place in AfA_OS_LIBS Directory

The 68000 version can not handle Hi/TrueColor screens, only up to 256 colors are displayed.
Ok, thank you

The "lined" version is sometimes faster on some Amithlon systems. It uses the older "line by line" direct drawing method. But you can try it out if you like.

Sorry AMIGASYSTEM:

I told HanSolo to remove the icon_lib.exe from AfA_OS_LIBS:, not you.

Thank you, later I do some testing with my other Amiga OS, however the library 68020 on AfA OS does not work with or without icon_lib.exe.

OCiao PeterK, did some 'testing with icon.library 46.4.417 on my system [ Show youtube player ]:

- Icon.library "68000" -> Perfect, commands "IconUpScaling" and "IconDownScaling" works, the color palette of DOpus4 "OK" no changes palette.

- Icon.library "Lined" -> Guru during system startup

- Icon.library "68020" -> Guru during system startup

Nice video clip, AMIGASYSTEM ... but pretty useless as a bugreport

Please, upload your startup-sequence and user-startup as txt-files.
Make a list of all patches and third-party libraries installed on your system.
What is in your WBStartup drawer ?

What is the Guru number that appears ??
Do you use MUI 4.x ? Set the stacksize to 50000 at least.

Make sure that MemTrailer is installed in your startup-sequence as the last command before endcli!
Without MemTrailer AfA_OS or AmiKit can be very unstable. (Use a trailer size of 32, 64 or 96 if WarpOS is also running)

My system "AmiKit" It is standard, the startup-sequence and the user-startup they have not been tampered with. About MUI, the version installed on my AmiKit and 3.8 generic version 68000. Also tried to disable the WBStartup and nothing changes, the GURU with the Icon.library "020" continuano ad uscire. The GURU however, that each time you restart numbering change, attach screenshot some GURU and startups

Ok, I've tried out your startup-sequence and user-startup in my AmiKit 8.5 setup and it works here with the current WinUAE 3.2.2 without any Gurus.

The shell commands IconUpScaling and IconDownScaling should be called directly without Run, like any other of my instructions in C:. I would suggest to start the scaling after booting has finished from a shell.

Does your system still work with the icon.library 46.4.414 from Aminet ??

Maybe you can also try to start without AmiKitLiveUpdate and without ShowAmiga96.

Yes, of course, it's buggy !
But that's another story ...
More important is the fact that AfA_OS 4.7 is the only version which has MoreLibSpace support for icon.library 46.4 !!

It may be buggy, after I set it up to my liking, It is giving me a lot of satisfaction, i think with a few tweaks you could get a great OS3. I had so many Amiga including a A4000/60 [ Show youtube player ] was my old operating system now used on WinUAE.

This is my last configuration of AfA OS, including icon.library 46.4.417, the icons OS4 I reduced physically on OS4 with the application Icon Ediror 1.7.
[ Show youtube player ]

@PeterK
Now I try to do what I have kindly suggested, thank you

Ok PeterK, took the test, the problem was the "RUN", without it, no more gurus, disabled the prefs the Skin Windows now runs on all OS AfA, icons have been reduced perfectly.

If it could be useful, con qualche precedente icon.library i encountered a strange thing (Now I do not know if you've already corrected), bringing icons from OS4, in some of these had been changed status, icon drawer had become icon project, the problem i had been reported QUI by a user the Italian portal Amigapage.it

Thank you for removing the "RUN" which can cause strange racing conditions at boot time.

However, I would suggest to start the icon scaling from a shell after the booting and you can stop it with a second call then. Upscaling can be reverted to exactly the original image by downscaling it again !!

The project icons are automatically converted into drawer icons when a directory with the same name already exists at the destination and if no default tool is defined in the project icon yet.

It was exec.library that was one culprit IIRC, but hey, ask Thomas

Yes indeed, exec.library v45 may cause conflicts with AfA_OS, as Jan has told me. He has removed it in SetPatch in the soon upcoming AmiKit X 10 !

Quote:
Hi Peter, it seems that exec.library from BB2 AmigaOS ROM Update is the reason of yellow alerts. As soon as I disabled it (SetPatch SKIPROMMODULES exec.library) the recoverable alerts are gone.

The "RUN" is definitely not required for any of my commands and can cause racing conditions as I already said. Maybe, you should call IconDownScaling or IconUpScaling from another position (line) in the startup-sequence or better from a shell window. Then save the scaled icons and switch the scaling off again. But of course, it's up to you what you like to do.
