Unexpected/strange error message w/RARed ADFs without unrar.dll
I found a strange error message "The selected floppy disk image is not bootable (boot block checksum error)" (1.4.3pb2 2007.05.20) or no error message (1.4.2a 2007.05.13) when a RARed ADF is selected while unrar.dll is missing.
As said the 'old' version lets you select the .rar without any message, it just doesn't boot/displays kickstart screen. I can imagine that this is a little confusing to some (including me, at first ![]() |

Hmmm, normally on a real Amiga inserting a non-bootable floppy disk results in displaying the Kickstart "insert disk" screen, so the behaviour seems normal.
There was no error message in the old version but now there is - so why use the old version? ![]() |

Oh right, I see, sorry. I wondered why you asked such a question.
I guess there isn't much to do then except for an error message to be added, or not to delete unrar.dll in the first place! ![]() |

But WinUAE 'complains' that CAPSImg.dll is missing when selecting an IPF-file, so I was expecting a similar response with 'ADR'-files. |

Not going to happen. There are situations when "rar/7z/whatever support library missing" dialog should not appear.
