Unexpected/strange error message w/RARed ADFs without unrar.dll

I found a strange error message "The selected floppy disk image is not bootable (boot block checksum error)" (1.4.3pb2 2007.05.20) or no error message (1.4.2a 2007.05.13) when a RARed ADF is selected while unrar.dll is missing.

As said the 'old' version lets you select the .rar without any message, it just doesn't boot/displays kickstart screen.

I can imagine that this is a little confusing to some (including me, at first ).

Hmmm, normally on a real Amiga inserting a non-bootable floppy disk results in displaying the Kickstart "insert disk" screen, so the behaviour seems normal.

There was no error message in the old version but now there is - so why use the old version?

No, inside the RAR-archive is a bootable ADF. Would be nice if WinUAE warned about the fact unrar.dll is missing

Oh right, I see, sorry. I wondered why you asked such a question.

I guess there isn't much to do then except for an error message to be added, or not to delete unrar.dll in the first place!

unrar.dll is not part of the WinUAE distribution, just as CAPSImg.dll isn't part of it.

But WinUAE 'complains' that CAPSImg.dll is missing when selecting an IPF-file, so I was expecting a similar response with 'ADR'-files.

Not going to happen. There are situations when "rar/7z/whatever support library missing" dialog should not appear.
