AmigaOS3.2.1 Kickstart Screen Background Color?
Did Hyperion change the background color of the Amiga OS 3.2.1 Kickstart roms? With no boot disk, my a3000 shows:
3.2 ROM (Kickstart Version 47.102) ... ... ... The background color of the screen is blood red or crimson red. Is this normal? |

It is now back to purple. Weird. I'm guessing this hasn't changed and the color difference was an anomaly?

Red screen was added in OS3.2.1 roms to signal no FDD connected. In OS3.2 roms you would just get a black screen.

That explains it perfectly. I was booting to do some tests after doing a full cap replacement, super buster upgrade to -11 and installing a cr2032 coin battery holder.
FWIW another fully restored A3000. These are getting pretty rare these days... |
