Arc ext recoverable alert....
So I have cw3.1 installed on my cf and I’m trying to get whdload to work so I move the games directory to my games partition in dopus and I have a directory running from my pc in win use to transfer the games from I select the games and then click arc ext and get a recoverable alert error:00038007 task 00260278. I also get this if I try and extract a file outside of dopus just in work bench but I can delete and copy fine... after I left click I get a software failure report saying ramlib program failed (error #80000004) wait for disk activity to finish.
Anyone have any ideas what is wrong??? I’m lost! |

So it seems to have something to do with either the processor or rom... I have changed to a 60020 and 3.1rom and it now will ach ext... however I have a new problem I have managed to put a few games into my partition in the 0-9 category and I’ve changed the assign in start up to DH1:games the name of my drive but whd is asking to replace drive a-games and retry like it can’t see my hard drive.... any ideas?
Also just as a side note if this cw 3.1 is supposed to work with a 68000 processor why would the extraction of an archive crash it unless I use the faster processor??? Also my actual Amiga has a 3.1 rom and a wicher card but it will still detect it as a 68000 processor even tho it isn’t technically so not sure what to do about that in the long run...? Any help greatly appreciated, I have many a problem and some of them are to do with my Amiga..... |

So I realised what the problem was with whdload I’d copied the directories straight in without the games folder.... not a good idea so re copied over and transferred games across and now all working correctly next to get I game up and running....

What do you mean by "copied the directories straight in without the games"?
I have the same issue - can't extract. Last edited by spacebiscuit; 23 November 2022 at 11:34. Reason: typo |
