Amiga games that cannot be completed

If this is a thread that exists, I apologize but did not see it.

What Amiga games have bugs or errors that prevent them from being completed? I figured itd be neat to have a list.

What does NOT apply:
Games with no actual end and games that are nearly impossible due to difficulty.

To qualify, the game must have an actual end programmed in but the end is impossible to achieve due to bugs, an error in the programming, a missing item or similar.
If a game cannot be completed "legally" but a glitch exists to finish it, it does qualify.

in the game "Genetic species" there is a bug in the last level ( level 4)
where you can't hit a switch which opens the door which let you to escape from such level,
the only way to finish this game is using a trainer or load a saved game

I started a thread regarding how the ending of Street Rod 2 gets an assertion error at the end animation at https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=34943 .

Possibly not exactly matching the required criteria

Flag Catcher, a little Amos shareware game, well at least a catchy tune
https://hol.abime.net/5578

i have tried to cheat using savestates, to try to reach the end, but the game itself was probably never intended to have one

it crashed in guru after a specific level (36 or 38 iirc)
consider that normally you cannot go after level 28, 29

So you can get to the end, but not actually get the end animation? Thats almost worse

excellent thread. I was told that Rubicon crashed at level 7 if you take a particular weapon. That probably doesn't qualify.

another one which may appear buggy but is not is Magic Pockets, as the programmer pushed the score+stars concept too far. And I guess a lot of people thought that it could not be completed.

I think if it has a "trap" or situational bug, thats probably not qualifying. Otherwise, we'd have to list like every Sierra game

The Big Deal
Somewhere in the middle of Level 2 or 3 the game acts weird and everything served to the customers gets rejected so you cannot win. Looks like a scripting bug or copy protection. Its an excellent game/port though (from C64). Graphics, sound, atmosphere are outstanding.

I think it is probably a bad crack. I remember similar trap in Virocop - in 5th or so level one platform is not moving, so you can not pass, if you do not play from original floppy.

Captive. It doesn't have an ending as such, so shouldn't qualify however there are a few door bugs where the code is the wrong side of the door, and so that particular level/base cannot be completed without cheating

Not sure if this counts, but I completed Castles The Northern Campaign the other week. If you die and lose the castle, it comes up with a message saying you are defeated. If you win the final battle, it just quits to DOS. I tried the WHD version, and also manually copying the files over and tried running the game natively from CLI/WB, but still it quits on exit.

If you select x3 castles or x5 castles, the game still quits out after you beat Castle 1.

So problems with both ecs and aga versions?

Never heard of Braybrook doing checksums before

me neither. Fire & Ice / Uridium had both copylock AND manual, Virocop ECS has "special" disk format + (maybe) copylock.

Virocop AGA has manual protection, Virocop CD32 not sure if it has any protection, That would be an easy version to test

Fire and Ice CD32 doesn't have any protection besides the crash if CD isn't present.

I hope I didn't miss something, or the whdload install has the same issue.

Clown-O-Mania. When you beat the last level it just unceremoniously loops back to level 0 (yes... zero). Kick in the teeth that is, not even a "well done" text blurb
