I'm well pleased with my A1200 setup, Quake and Doom run beautifully on the K1 so totally worth it just for that. Need to try the PPC version of AmigaAmp but assume that will be ok.

I've got an Apocalypse card on the way as above, I don't feel the A1200 will benefit from the extra performance so thinking of building an A4000 for it, will the Sonnet library run with an A3640 or do you need a proper accelerator?

It will run on an A3640 generally speaking. An 060 adapter is recommended of course.

Which Doom? ADoom or PrBoom?
Also since it's been about 1000 posts since the last time I said it, there's a developer discount if someone is serious about doing WarpOS development.
Also I'm really pretty sure the Ragnarok is upgradeable to a PPC750GX, the benefit of that being double the on-die L2 cache and higher clockspeeds, though we don't really know how much higher the board would tolerate.

Just ADoom Wos
No Warp3D stuff works on the A1200 as expected.

Oh well PrBoom doesn't actually use Warp3D, I was just curious.

Ah I thought prboom was 3D hardware accelerated, I'll give it a go tomorrow

I think that you was replace something on Ragnarok.. I think that CPU is not enough for that result.
Maybe you replaced chip responsibility for communications, or you used faster carrier card (like Motorola Harrier/Power Plus III chipset)?
Or You have faster PCI, like G-REX?

What abou this card with Ethernet?:

EPrPMC8150-4371 800 MHz, 512MB ECC, 64MB flash, rear Gigabit Ethernet, 5E


The card with Ethernet, is the same as first one only addition is Ethernet.
So, the card will be working fine or not? Somebody tested this card or not?

Seems that it's keyboard input that crashes the game, not in menu but when you try to move after starting the game. Is there a joypad option like Adoom? Prboom looks much nicer than Adoom

To my surprise, there is.

I doubt it would make a difference but there is joystick support in the game. You can go into the options in-game and turn on joystick and I think you'd need to restart, but you'll need a CD32 compatible controller for 4-button support.
Or in prboom.cfg:

Cheers, I managed to get through the first level and strangely after using the pad to move initially the game didn't crash when using the mouse or keyboard.
