AmigaOS 3.9 crashes when booting with CyberStorm PPC

Hello, when trying to boot AmigaOS 3.9 emergency disk, or even from a hard drive that has that version, the system crashes, i don't know if i need a specific version of AmigaOS 3.9 for PPC, but i was also thinking about using MorphOS on WinUAE emulating an Amiga 4000.

Thanks,
sudoamiga

Please stop creating new threads for each step you do.

The presence of a PPC is not the cause of the crash. The PPC is not used by OS 3.9. And if the PPC crashes you don't get a guru, you get a large error requester.

MorphOS does not run on WinUAE. OS 4 does.

Pick up an old PPC Mac for $1 to run MorphOS. I don’t believe WinUAE or FS-UAE will run it.

Make sure it’s on this list. All of them don’t work.

Second part is definitely true. But I think picture.datatype from 3.9 (and also I think 3.5) has PPC code (fat binary). But indeed, it would give a large error requester.

Yes, but only if PPC drivers are installed. We are talking about booting from emergency disk or a fresh installation on harddrive. PPC drivers are installed in a second run of the installer. They don't just appear without your knowledge.

Totally correct. No powerpc.library (and underlying warp.library and the cyberstorm HW library) and the PPC does not start.

Awwwww...MAN!! The Amiga is still extremely amazing to me after all these many, many years...but it's NOT miraculous?!?! I was thinking Something Somewhere through all kinds of deep seeking that the Amiga would be the First True one in such a simple way. Thanks, Thomas... (I am being very facetious here).

Hmmm...Damn, Phase 5 also, for not making the PPC be noticed at boot and passing an Okay/Not Okay along during the process. Wink. Wow, would THAT have caused some huge problems, ha.
