The most accurate to the hardware are both options unticked.
Simply those options can help, 'via' emulation, to catch most of the problems due to a 'libertine' use of the blitter.
(Waiting for the blitter finished work can and must be done through the code!)

...and you're going to want to tick "Cycle-exact (Full)" for the majority of A500 games

For sure, been doing that since it was available I do my profiles a little different from you - I have one config per machine setup then in the folder name of a game/demo/utility I write which config/system to choose

Holy moley, that's a life's work of testing.

Interesting to see a Cadaver demo in there. Only one out of the bunch has issues?

That number is definitely why I make a config to the machine and name the adf folder to what config is needed - I'm quite fickle and am always trying out different shadow mask & filter combos to get a rose tinted vision of a what the CRT TV looked like in my childhood (yet still make the picture clear). If I had to update 1000s of configs when I found a better combo I think I'd cry (or more like just not bother changing them )

See guys, it did have a use and not just as it may have looked, like I want to pick holes on WinUAE...Nope, I was Around before Toni took over and created the Windows dedicated version, when it was UAE

I've been an avid WinUAE user since it made its debut, I also used Fellow but that fizzled out and came back and fizzled out etc etc..

And yes, no one is making me use the immediate blit etc but the point was finding out why they are there and why they were not history these days and that was simply to make the emu more friendly and I love that, its classy and as Galahad said, many users of WinUAE were not around at the time of the real machine. That in itself was why I asked as I was there and still own a 1200 and an A500 and I love them but for space I keep them out of the way so emulation as great as it is means I get to play without the hassle of all the set up.

I just hope folks realise it wasn't a dig, its like all knowledge, it does not hurt to ask and too few people bother to use that lump on top of their shoulders, the problem that follows is IF people learn from the knowledge

Thanks all, appreciated..Its a nice approach that differs from the normal, most emulator authors like to simplify things like loading disks or auto running them which are technically also hacks but help the user get started with whatever the machine being emulated faster, it nice to see some fixes for common coding messups that would stop the user enjoying...

I retract the Frankenstein remark and replace it with a 'good Wizard' notion, he's already got the crystal ball

Ever heard of Notepad++ and UltraEdit?

...updates all my 2620 x configuration files with any desired changes that I want to make in less than a minute.

D'oh of course - One thing I'm terrible with (that 'puters are great with) is batch automation. I'd probably spend about 2 hours hand renaming a bunch of files before remembering I've an app installed that'd do it in about as many seconds !

New thread here created by moving all "Immediate Blitter" & "Wait for Blitter" discussions out of this ancient thread:

Found this thread as I am trying to play Sensible Soccer and apparently it needs Blitter to Immediate. I'm going over all the Win UAE options, and I can't seem to find this in the UI. What is this option called in the current Win UAE UI and where is it?

Do I have to update the config file manually? Where?

Is this the option?
immediate_blits=true

***Edit***

This let me run career mode in Sensi 21/22
immediate_blits=true
waiting_blits=disabled

I edited a manually created config file in the default Win UAE path
