That's what i said. You find enough clips where games have suddenly speech or CD quality sound. You can even do realtime text translations from japanese games in you desired language via RetroArch.

I should mention that after skipping the 1st level you can actually hit / kill the minions with sword strikes... you can also hit / kill the boss by throwing rocks (or whatever they are) at him i.e. <down> + <fire>

Yes, some nice graphics and animations. But the gameplay isn't good. Very rough.

I know, game play is quite bad.

...but I always like to see "unreleased" games; and the various concepts / graphics / sfx / music used

I'm sure others do too.

It would be so cool if that scary voice was part of the game.

If someone have contact with author please ask him to create another image becuse ISO is bad format for this disk. It have to be BIN/CUE (or any other format).
Oryginal one have audiotrack and i just "fixed" it as proof of conecpt and upload to my folder on FTP so anyone can hear audio track.
I don't know how much audiotracks should be there so i created image only with one long track.
BTW the audio is in german

EDIT:
There's also English track which can be heard after German one. Without proper RIP it can't be separated in proper way
EDIT2:
[ Show youtube player ]
In this YT audio track is working correctly so someone should have proper cd image.
In my opinion there should be also language selector somewhere...

Great. So now we need only proper image I don't think so that "my" image will work but you can check it. I don't have WinUEAE configured.

It would be nice to have a proper non-corrupted image

...but to be honest; not a massive fan of the speech and very happy with the .HDF I've made (which took many hours to perfect / get the way I want)

Thought we made it clear yesterday that this in't a real speech track (English) in the Youtube clip. Never ever is this a human voice. A PC text reading and speaking tool, for sure. The German speech could be real. Very amateurish though.

I tried splitting the audio file between the German and English, seems only the German intro was coded to play CD audio before it got canned, the English one is silent even by adding lots of audio tracks on the cue file, unless of course it was all on one big audio track, but unless we know the seek start time it would be hard to get it play back.

Without correct CUE file or other image format than ISO it can't be done manually.
I spend a lot of time in past trying to find a way to fix such cases manually but haven't found any method to do it.
YT video is working with english track so demo is coded to work with both tracks...

Discovered some other things whilst mucking around today... these keys will work after the first stage i.e. any monster fight:

<F1> = Sword
<F2> = Axe
<F3> = Bow & Arrow
<F7> = Normal game speed
<F8> = Slow game speed
<F9> = Extremely slow game speed
<F10> = Fall backwards

I don't see the problem. I've loaded the ISO as raw PCM into Audacity and you can clearly see the gaps that separate the audio tracks. And Audacity even gives you the time codes, so re-creating a CUE file should be a piece of cake.
