Cubic IDE with latest vbcc
I ended up buying Cubic IDE since I really wanted a decent development environment within WinUAE rather than having to do stuff in VS Code and then copy it over. However, it turns out that Cubic really doesn't like it if you don't use its devkits: method of managing compilers and SDKs. What's worse is that it comes with vbcc 0.8j, which is absolutely ancient (vintage of 2008). I'd like to use the latest, 0.9g, instead, but by integrating it into Cubic's devkits: system.
Has anyone already done this and can tell me how it's done? The whole devkits: thing comes across as a bit of a black box to me, and while I have some idea of what I might be able to do, chances are I'll blow up everything instead. |

You can put newer files inside cubicide:ide/devkits/compilers/vbcc/0.8j/
Or better, install a newer vbcc version where you want and configure the new path in "Configure compiler..." in the VBCC toolbar. |
