Kind of like the "touch" command on posix shells?

I'm pretty sure setDate only sets the system clock. It's not what you're looking for if that's the case.

In order to set the clock you need to use SetClock. SetDate seems to be set the time to the current date and "SetDate #? ALL" sets it for every file in every subdir.

SetDate sets the time and date of a file.
Date displays or sets the time and date of the system clock. SetClock reads or sets the time and date of the battery backed clock (which runs independently of the system clock and is read only once at boot time) Time is the GUI to set the date and time of the system clock and/or the battery backed clock. Clock is a simple GUI to show the time as an analogue or digital clock. |
