Exploiting the external floppy port
A long time ago, there was something called Amiga-Link, by Amitrix, which in essens was a coax ("thin", 50ohm) based proprietary ethernet for Amiga computers, where an adapter was simply plugged into the external floppy port. it came with Sana2 device and I used it to bring my A500 online with my A3000 running MiamiDx as gateway (and yeah, real routing; a /30 segment routed to my A3000, the A500 was even running a webserver!).
Anyways, I have not seen any exploitation of the external floppy port, which really all Amiga computers except CD32 (SX32 provides one, but Amiga-Link did not work with it) are equipped with! http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.co...t.aspx?id=1798 |

Because this all happened 'a long time ago', I have moved this thread from the News forum to Nostalgia & memories.
