Amiga conversion of Oids
Remember from a thread a long while ago that this was one of the only significant games that were never ported to the Amiga from its bitter rival the ST.
But, i ask ye - how hard would this be to actually do? And is it really worth it? |

I would think it can be done easily, perhaps even in AmiBlitz2 But the problem will be, do you really get the flair of the original onto the Amiga ??? If someone want´s to try ..... why not ?

anyone got a screenshot of this game to remind me?
Or better still, a resource to download the Atari ST image and the best Atari ST emulator. |

Well....
I think its perhaps wishful thinking, but is anyone able to contact the author of Oids and try and extract the ASM source code from him?
Having had to mess around with Atari ST source code in the past (other games), I wouldn't think it would be a particularly hard job to simply convert from the existing code. |

Oids
Is it a multiscroller or a flipscreen game?

wont run
I can`t get oids to run.. I used to be able to get it running..
I`ve tried STeem and winSTon now.. two different images.. all I get is a green screen.. and it reboots forever... do you think it might be the tos image?? |

English Tos 1.62 with 512Kb of RAM on STeem and the above image works fine for me. This is the automation menu; I tried the standalone image and didn't work for me also...
