Great! I'll order that, just for supporting, if nothing else. One question though - if I have stayed updated with amiupdate om my amiga os 4, will I have everything from this package?

Well ship it on floppy disks then if you want real retro media!

Come on, it's 2014 (nearly 2015) and Digital Downloads are commonplace! It would cut down on pressing CD/DVDs and printing boxes/manuals plus you wouldn't have to wait for snail mail, especially at this time of year. Ironically we have an Amistore but you can't download OS 4.1 from it!

I for one would rather boxes, manuals and physical media.

Nope. This release does contain all the previous updates but some extra stuff as well, some small things that were originally planned for 4.2, such as a new shell, new graphics.library, support for memory over 2GB with software written specially for it, and a few other tweaks. Think of it as "4.1 Update 7" on a stand-alone CD. Also, updates released for this version over AmiUpdate won't be available for previous versions.

So what are you doing with all the unsold stock of the previous OS 4.1 classic that sold for £80+? If you had a download you wouldn't need to have physical stock, and possibly unsold stock

A digital download and physical media would be nice. I'll probably be back at work by the time it turns up.

I wish the dealers of OS 4.1 FE could look at how Cloanto do things, Cloanto both support digital download and physical media when you buy the AF package from them. I was tempted to order before Christmas from Amigakit the OS 4.1 FE, but so close before the holidays here in Norway, a package from UK would take 14 days to reach my post office.

Yes, being able to download and install it while waiting for snail mail to deliver the box would be ideal!

Hyperion do, do digital downloads.

People who registered will know full well that OS4.1 Update 2 was available for download.

So they may very well do the same with Final Edition. Who knows, only they can answer that.

+1 for a digital download from me too. If I could buy a copy and have it this week I would as I'm off work, but by the time a CD arrived i'd have less time.
