Hi friends,
I've still got an old SCSI hard disc around, which was formatted at my A1200 some time ago, containing Amiga and NetBSD partitions. As far as I understand, WinUAE 0.8.22R6 should be capable of adressing the data on this hard disc directly, if connected to the SCSI port of my PC with Windows XP, right? ![]() The problem is that I see this hard disc only in the hardware tree of Windows XP, but not in the Windows XP Explorer. And I can also not choose it in the WinUAE configuration? ![]() What's wrong with it? Can you, please, help me? ![]() Thanks in advance, ******* |

Hi Toni and the rest of the gang,
Yes, the "Add Harddrive"-button still opens an empty menu, even with my Amiga formatted SCSI hard disk connected. ![]() I did the collection of winuaebootlog.txt and the relevant portion seems to be about the hard disk, which seems to be recognized - but not the Amiga partition on it: \scsi#disk&ven_quantum&prod_fireball_tm3200s&rev_300n#4&18fccfcb&0&010#{53f56307-b6bf-11d0-94f2-00a0c91efb8b}' device id string: 'QUANTUM FIREBALL_TM3200S 300N 395625460560' device size 3216084480 bytes 4 partitions found I expect the other 3 partitions to be my NetBSD installation on the hard disk. May the problem result from here? Or do you have any ideas, I can try? Best regards and thanks again in advance, Manfred P.S.: Here the full winuaebootlog.txt: WinUAE 0.8.22, Release 6 (OS: NT 5.1 Administrator privileges) (c) 1995-2001 Bernd Schmidt - Core UAE concept and implementation. Re: Amiga formatted SCSI HD not working with WinUAE?

Finally I made it to work out a solution to at least gain access to the files on such disk. Some long way around but it works. If you are still interested I've put a workshop on my homepage here. Hope this will help you. Make sure to let me know if you found a better solution in the meantime. PS: There is a German version of the workshop too. ![]() |

Hi,
My problem was not related to ZIP disks, but a hard disk in general. In the meantime, I'm in direct contact with one of the UAE developers and things are going to improve in some beta versions. Hope, the next release will help you, too... ![]() Best Regards, Manfred |
