I think i'm in batch 2 and have not heard anything at all, I was about to go looking for a FB group or something for an update since when I paid for it it was estimated for an Oct/Nov delivery so I guess technically he still has all of this month before it's runnng late.

Apparently Batch 2 Has finished assembly and are being shipped to MNT over the weekend. With any luck this means they will be shipped to users starting from next week.

Hi,

plan to replace my Cybervision 64 and Picasso II on my A3000D with a ZZ9000 as I would like to have only my APPLE Cinema Display 23" DVI connected to my A3000D.

It looks like the screenmodes are are hard coded into the drivers so no native 1920x1200 solution possible. And I do understand Greg's information correctly due to the DAC on the ZZ9000 no Truecolor options will be possible (at least with 60Hz or above).

Thanks

Iggi

New firmware:

New drivers:

Based on the betas I've been running, this is an amazing step forward. I haven't been able to test the release myself, since I'm not in the same town with my A4000, but I can hardly wait until I get back. :-)

Just pre ordered for batch 3! Does anyone know if the card will work with VGA monitors? With an adaptor?

You can probably use an HDMI to VGA signal degrader to hook it up to a VGA monitor. :-)

There's one thing I don't understand. "One HDMI port (DVI via non-HDMI compliant HDMI connector". What exactly does that mean? What does non-HDMI mean? Can you plug it into an HDMI monitor or not?

It means that it has a built in passive DVI -> HDMI adapter. Yes, you can connect it to an HDMI monitor, works with mine at least.

This means that it outputs DVI frames, but most HDMI displays can accept these.

Hello...ive almost saved up enough money for one of these...anybody using one with there A500/Z-500 ?

My current Retina display card only takes up 256k of Zorro II space...(4mb card) I heard a while ago that a new firmware update would also mean just 256k would be taken up by the zz9000 card ?

Thanks

Mark

I never heard this. Currently, ZZ9000 requires 4mb of address space.

Segmented mode means slowness and somebody should write the software. P96 doesn't support it.

I didn't see this. Thanks Jope.
I have yet to use the card because it hangs my system.
I hope Lukas releases a Zorro 2 update sometime soon.
I think I'll ping him tomorrow.

I just pinged Lukas in his IRC channel. Yes, he's spending all his time trying to get a Zorro II release.

A new firmware for Zorro 2 has been released.

My mouse adapter has died. I'm expecting a new one to arrive within a day or two. I'll be testing this update sometime soon.
