Wanted: DKB Ferret SCSI Card

Hi folks.

Looking for this elusive piece of Amiga Hardware in an effort to appease random cold/warm boot issues.

http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/ferret

Can anyone help?

Thanks for looking.

I have a non-working one. Also it doesn't have the pieces to connect it so you'd need to solder some connectors on.

That should be "fixable" by just purchasing a Zebra strip AKA Elastomeric Connector.

Plenty of them on AliExpress and you should be able to cut them to size, as long as you get one with the correct pitch.

If it's a non-working one, then there wouldn't be any point soldering some connectors on. - Or is it just non working because you don't have the correct connect0r?

No search results for Elastomeric Connector.

If I search for Zebra Strip, all I get in the results are a load of bo-toxed women wearing all sorts of Zebra style outfits.

I have no idea where it came from, I think I got it in a random box of parts from something else.
I'm not entirely sure you want it though, since it's PIO and maybe slightly more trouble than what it's worth.
You applied the last firmware update to the Cobra?

It's to try & stop Cold Boot & Warm Boot issues on my 1D4 mobo. Even Elbox FastATA IV wouldn't work, along with other FastATA hardware options.

Yes latest firmware applied (has to be for WB3.1+ to work) but my card is the Mongoose, not the Cobra. http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/dkb1240

Weird, try adding "LCD" to the keywords - as they are usually used in LCDs

The joys of obsolete connectors not available in standard sizes

On top of that, they came in different pitches, as well

I've been looking for replacements for the elastometric connector used by these controllers as well. Not just the Zebra Strip itself but the plastic frame it comes in.

Let me know when you find one..... I bought the scsi card back in 1999 or 2000, never realised it used the strip till I went to use it 5 or 6 years later...
