Why would they be different. CD has downloaded them from you?

Because those two text files are updated regularly
So the ones i own are changed, not the same inside the 7z on the file server |

No problem
Notes.txt contains notes about the collection, like demos with corrupted graphics or sound for example Scanned.txt contains the name of folders from my Amiga collection which i analyzed for building ADA So, as you can guess, nothing important for the use of the archive |

It's just a .DAT file...
Crashdisk shouldn't have included those text files really... If it really bothers you then open the .DAT file with say Notepad++, remove the lines related to the text files and save |

He will have included them because the dat will have made a note of every file in Chips ADA folder when creating the dat, none of this would be necessary if Chip would just release bloody updates!
I might just do that DD and remove the 2 txt files from dat ;-) |

I thinked a lot about this decision
If you read the thread you will notice that i get critics/polemics each time i do a release The reason is the lack of updates I will not change my mind about this, i don't like ADA structured like TOSEC Since i am sure negative feedbacks will not going to finish, i am forced to not announce no more the releases This means no more announcements about a new version of the collection But at the same time this DOESN'T mean the project is dead Indeed at the moment project is still active and it will be updated regularly (till i will not be tired of the project itself) So this post is directed to ALL the people who are still interested in the archive Please just check the date of the 7zip file on my upload folder on the ftp to see if a new version is out I am sorry, but i am really tired to get the same polemics again and again, this is the only way Thanks for attention, chip |

@chip
I don't know if you know it but it is possible to identify a demo file with its CRC32 on the Kestra site : (Unknown)-AccessXBbs.exe => CRC32 $26771E00 Not everything is on this site, but it could help you improve your pack... |
