Fast CPU connector (KEL 8807-200-XX)
Anyone have clue where to order it?
I need to replace it. Board is working, but there are few broken pins inside female part (on A4000 main board) and it often loose contacts :/ Last edited by Chain; 15 October 2007 at 21:38. |

I bet that those need to be manufactured again, like the A1200 accelerator connectors ...

They arent RoHS compliant so new tooling would have to be made- then the connectors would require a minimum of 3000-5000 units production run. Average cost would probably be around $15 each = $45000 - $75000 for just connectors.
This is why new accelerators for the Amiga are not forthcoming without substantial investment. |

I am not sure but it can be 8806/8807 series connector made by KEL. Look at http://www.kel.jp/english/index.html and search for 8806-200-* part |

There is great forum! May be "Individual Computers" know about it? On Russian Amiga Board I heard that someone was possible to buy from them connectors for A1200 trapdoor port... |

@janus
I figured that there would be different part number, I am also assuming there would be a similar quantity required for the female parts too.... pity... but at least if i get desperate i know where to contact. Thanks for the great link!. As a note to mention If there is a group buy, depending on price per unit I would be interested in 4 male units. |

@Zetr0
Price per unit was about $8-$10. Sorry, i mistake for part number. Right pair is 8807/8817. If there is a group buy I would be interested in 2-3 pcs male and female units. |
