Bit of an open ended question, you say that as if there is only one device in the world that carries the description "mini PC". The A500 mini itself contains a mini PC.

I have some questions and I wonder about few stuff. By default Amiga mini is some kind of mini pc with nice looking front end to load whdload games? Right? But can it load more demanding Amiga games like Genetic Spiles, T-zero or Land of Genesis? Can it load cd32 games with soundtracks or hd games that need to be installed on hard disk? Is that nice looking gui can be extended to support mentioned above fame types or You need to install other application for that?

It finally arrived. Oh my god out of the box and playing the Chaos Engine within 2 minutes, now that's what I'm talking about. Silky smooth video, awesome sound output.

Don't care very much for the joypad though, very resistent buttons. That definitely needs replacing And if you want to play on the couch, have some USB cable extenders handy because they are quite short as per usual. Also you don't get a power adaptor, only the USB charger cable. So you'll have to use what you have lying around.

Also chip costs have gone up significantly because of COVID, price rises out of Retro Games hands

I see that RG are in final testing phase of the first firmware update.

Does anyone know what changes this update will have?

I'm hoping both ADF & HDF direct boot off usb will be implemented so I dont have to continue making a custom boot.zip launcher for each of my single boot hdf games.

I would expect ADF support and they have hinted at extra joysick support which would be good as the Speedlink doesnt work correctly (no left fire button support).

I have managed to get Pinball Fantasies to save games by using an HDF and customised Amiberry config files based on the rather great AGS2 by Paul Vince. Also working for PGA Tour Golf.

By creating a file per game approach I can configure the config files to suit each game (e.g. Screen cropping & timing/cpu). Only trouble is it is fully manual and if you go into the friendly config screen on A500 mini it breaks again. Plus save states do not work. But for games such as Pinball Fantasies and PGA Tour this is only way to enjoy for me.

Other hacks etc. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=110363
