Any demo archives in existence?

Does anyone have an archive of demos?

I spent hours downloading the lha's from the WHDLoad page, but seems these are installers only, no actual demo binaries.

I have also tried to access Photon's Demo Archive, but the link I have only goes to a Google 404... http://coppershade.org/articles/More!/Downloads/

Trawling the internet for a folder of demos that will run on a native 020 A1200 seems to be a fruitless endeavour. If anyone can guide me to an archive of demos for the 020, either in .lha or .adf, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

You want Chip's demoscene archive. It's about 2GB and lives on the EAB FTP.

Sounds interesting... Do you happen to know where this elusive FTP resides?

I made a collection of mine (its almost a year old but still) it should give you a good start

Quality over quantity ! (no AGA Demos)

copy and paste this into youre browser if you want them, this dosent work as a link, sadly !!!

there is also a small second pack i made... ; even copy and paste dosent work, but you can find them if you use this

Or just download my WHDload downloader
https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=68704
(direct link http://grandis.nu/turransearch/searc...=&httplinks=on )

Use ftp/ftp as username and password. Check demos only (unless you want games as well).

That will download (and keep updated in the future) the WHDload games and/or demos from Retroplay.

Very strange that it shouldn't work. Because it's big, it's on my Drive. Perhaps Google services were temporarily down for a few minutes?

Now that I test it, at first the big Download Anyway button does nothing, then a few seconds later, it works. Strange.

An Incognito window showed me the truth, you're forced to log in. Corporation changed their policies on us, what else is new, huh? Google's sharing service is now the worst available for um... sharing stuff

I've now done a pass on the Downloads page for some links, and that includes the demo disk archive. Cheers.
