CDTV AVM Card (Advanced Video Mode)
Hi,
Does anyone know if a prototype of the AVM Card for the CDTV as mentioned in this document was ever produced? There's also a bit about Super Denise in this document and also updated Trivial Pursuit disks if anyone is interested Scott |

Interesting read, though the first part sounded like a CD-I fanboy typed it!
The AVM card never appeared, same for the FMV card for the CDTV, obv with the CD32 coming out the same year that document was printed these got cancelled and FMV moved to the CD32. Never knew about the AVM, interesting but these types of cards aren't good as they cause more fragmentation for the developers to support more hardware. |

Yes, I thought it was interesting about avm too, the document was from a mail order company I used to use in the 90's. Should have brought cdtv out with full ecs and full 2md chip ram as well as the same pcmcia and expansion ports as the 600, possibly I think a 68010 too and and mpeg card slot would have done it some justice. They could have done the same with the 600 too as well as high density (or even extended density drives) but it's just wishful thinking from me!
