Non-working Elbox CDTV/2

Hi there!

I just received my 3rd CDTV from Poland today, and was of course anxient to get it fired up and tested. Alas, nothing except for the infamous reboot loop! c".)
So, off with the hood, and what I discovered beneath it was an Elbox CDTV/2 expansion card with a poor and corroded RTC battery.

Thus, I pulled it off and threw in a solo 68K CPU, and it fired up as it should - everything seems to work properly so far.

Now - thing is... I have absolutely no experience with the Elbox CDTV cards... I read that it's not really considered Fast RAM, but otherwise there is little info to be found.
I don't see any ruined traces at first glance, but a faulty RTC battery in itself is unlikely to make it fail completely in itself, I guess... so, any ideas as to what could cause this?

Perhaps I should check the continuity throughout the board, perhaps upload some photos here. It's just annoying that it's been soldered to both the motherboard and the card, so perhaps I should start out with adding a connector there, for convenience. c".)

An ELBOX CDTV/2 is for sale on Amibay. Might be worth contacting the seller if he has an idea about it.

Yep, I guess you're right. I'll have a go at it and see if I can bring it back from the dead.
