Established members that we no longer hear from...
Hello EAB chummies.
I joined these merry ranks on 18th March 2006 and this is my 3400th post. This length of membership does not put me in the long serving echelon but I have seen / and read many interesting posts from many even more interesting characters. I am at the point now, where I have started to think about what or rather who EAB has lost over the years, particularly pre my arrival in 2006. So this thread is for you guys to each post the name of ONE lapsed EAB member. It should be someone that we no longer hear from and that you consider made a significant contribution to the forum. Please include three things; a line or two on who they were, why they left and if possible, where they are now. |

People burn out and do other hobbies. I have not posted that much lately since I have not been getting much new Amiga gear (I did finally get an A4000D last week) and didn't have much to talk about. But I still check up on the site every week or so. |

Yeah I have wondered where Damien has got to... I hope he's okay though. And hopefully he will be back here sooner rather than later.
Also I wonder whatever happened to VermillioN? The champion of the original EAB games comptition and it was him who casually mentioned the idea of an EAB/Lemon Super League - without that it may never have happened - and he hasn't logged in since the competition first started (!). |

Amigaboy: I think he left because he thought someone was trying to steal his identity and the tinfoil hat he was wearing wasn't big enough. He came back under a fake identity later and then decided to pretend it wasn't him when I cornered him in pm.
Superfrog/Teh: He was here as a young lad and got into some trouble with some of the regulars. I used to chat to him on irc and he was a good bloke. I think as he grew older he outgrew his amiga hobby and replaced it with things like webdesign, girls and his mobile DJ business. DPainter: No idea where he went to. Mr_0rga5m: I think he posted recently but no longer joins irc, he used to post some god awful photos on irc... god awful... miss the guy... Belgarath: Family tragedy perhaps changed his perspective on life. Wish him the best in whatever he is doing with himself these days. Woody57/Woodshed57: A top class bloke. His internet usage is closely monitored by a dominatrix. He will sneak onto irc once in a while to let us know he is still around. God bless him. PeanutUK/Freckle: Many assumed they were one and the same person but never said it in public... oops There are many more I cant remember. I don't shed a tear for but-hurt emo rage quit guys who didnt get their way or the ones who remain to constantly complain about it and slag off our community. |

...btw where is jim now? he used to cause a lot of controversy every now and then at the time i joined the forum...
but most of the time his posts where interesting to me and in a way entertaining - other times quite offending, that's why he had to leave i think. |

Freakyweakywooooooo, where are yooooooou.
He moved to Canada and now thinks he's better than the rest of us. Also possibly something to do with him having a kid. I miss our epic IRC chats where I would attempt to learn him up about life. I also miss the real Killergorilla. This fake imposter, or "Killergorilla-lite" makes my f**king teeth itch! |

RetroMan, this guy knew his stuff, apparently .
It seems to me Belg doesn't post much these days, but browses the forum here and then. People hoping for more need to show a little patience (to anyone caring about my opinion, that's what I'd say to them). Laser, the remaining posts of his are mostly interesting ones (I've heard he was banned because he posted loads of trash that has been deleted since then). Too bad. And it's nice to notice Akira is back after all those years. @Marco I can only speak for myself, but I'd bet with you some of the folks you mention wouldn't even think about returning as active members until a new OT section was added (e.g. OT - Jokes). To those who like to jump to conclusions : I am not saying such a section would be a good thing to create right now, nor that it would be a picnic to moderate. Deli the Grey, that mysterious cleric is gone, apparently, but his filthy shadow floats over eab . Last edited by NewDeli; 29 May 2010 at 23:18. |

YEah where the hell did Retroman go?
One of my most mised users is Twistin' Ghost. And also Overdoc. He is an Amiga wizard! Seen him recently. He's well! But I won't disclose anything else. |
