Tribute WHDLoad edition V1.0 Finished
Tribute WHDLoad edition V1.0 ( XBOX ONLY )
For those who use Newsbins !! Version 1.0 of the WHDLoad Edition for Xbox will be up on newsbins this evening. The nzb Will be available from me so stay tuned Basicly it boots directly to Workbench and contains all the games that were on the Tribute DVD you wanted to play on Xbox !! This Is Version 1.0 and for the moment utilises "Bloodwych's Classic WB Full" Hopefully he will create a specific one for me when he returns but for now this version it works great !! Plenty of room for updating as well so Version 2 will be better |

Thanks mate. Looks like just what I need to get back into the Amiga
Thanks for distributing it through Newsgroups as well, much faster than any torrent. Appreciate your effort |

eh ?
I'm sorry but i'm not understanding you. The .nzb will do the work for you if you know what .nzb's are and how to use them (most newsreaders support them now), otherwise alt.binaries.games.xbox 3.4 days ago is where you want to look. (You can open the .nzb in a texteditor for details, they are only xml/text) |

ok need a neme of the "server news" to grab this file
for a simple reason in the moment of file nzb are processed by a program (for example grabit) not reach a news server ,becouse need a name of the server news to download the file. http://img321.imageshack.us/my.php?i...mmaginesn9.jpg |

Aah i see .. The servername is whatever either your ISP supplies or you sign up for.
For example i'm on the blueyonder isp and they supply newsgroups to me via news.blueyonder.co.uk. I have also used various paid for news servers in the past and they tell you the server name upon signup. Now the reason you get the error may be your ISP doesnt carry the alt.binaries.games.xbox group. Some ISP's only carry a limited amount of groups because your getting it free (normally they dont give you the binaries only the text) whereas if you pay via somebody like newshosting, giganews, etc you will get every group available. I hope this clears it up for you a bit. |

Ok either Bloodwych has vanished or he is very busy and i really want to get version 2 moving.
Is there anyone out there that can put together a good looking workbench with all the required files for WHD and any other installs that may be used ?? Nothing to fancy....maybe some coloured icons and better fonts as the one i used is a little awkward to see on a TV......Any takers ??? Im after an ideal workbench for Xbox basicly ??? |

Just wanted to say how awesome this is. Tested it for most of last night and it's just fantastic. Really good selection of games and demos. Hope there will be an update one day with even more games.
Thanks for all your hard work |

Hi Syncro,
did you work out the 1GB (partition?) limit that you had problems with initially? Also it seems WHDLOAD TRIBUTE I and II are already both out on the newsgroups - have you officially released II already? BTW: thanks in advance for going to all this effort, I'm queueing up the WHDLOAD TRIBUTE I image to download tonight the weekend will be lots of xbox/Amiga goodness! |
