Lha.run problems
I have the following problem: I have Winuae 1.5.1 installed with workbench 3.1. Two hard disks DH0 and DH1. When I select system and shell I get the dos prompt.
I typed programs:lha.run Ram and got the following:\ Extracting lhA.guide Extracting lha_68020 Extracting lha_68040 Extracting lha_68k Extracting lha_68k.readme Operation susccessful Then when I type in Copy Ram:lha_68020 C:lha Iget the following Can't open lha_68020 for input - object not found When I type in lha x programs:installer-43_3.lha programs: I get lha - unknown command Can anyone explain how to get passed this? dir ram: if 0: check 'dir name' where you extracted lha executables, they should be there, together with the other programs in that dir if 1: it's probably a problem of attributes. if you have dopus (aminet) check if the executable flag is 1. if you dont have dopus etc, there's a dos command named 'protect' that does the same. try type lha.run (only) Last edited by cybernoid; 16 August 2008 at 03:53. This cannot be exactly what you typed because what you are telling the program to do is extract a file called Ram from lha.run into your current directory. On the Amiga the presence of a colon at the end of a device name (i.e. RAM: DF0: HD0: ) is essential however the capitalization is not significant.
Try this sequence of shell commands as an alternative to Steps 4a and 4b in the guide: Code:
cd programs: lha.run copy lha_68020 c:lha delete lha_#? lha.guide |

Try Code:
programs:lha.run RAM: What you did is write ALL files in the archive to one and the same "Ram" file in a sequence, this means it has been n-times overwritten during the process, with n being the number of files inside the archive. |
