I almost choked on my cheese toasty when i saw this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOONSTONE-Comm...item1c17359868

Absolutley crazy price for a mediocre game... It can't be that rare either as they keep popping up on ebay

I have someone local who's interested in my boxed Moonstone game and i'm only going to sell it for a fraction of that price (he offered me £75 which i still think is too much to pay for this game ).

There are no words to describe this seller.... and anyone who buys anything at those prices is a moron with too much spare money in my opinion.

Most of that stuff like the accelerators he has been re-listing for months now, I see from his feedback he sells a few games at £20-50 but these silly ones don't sell.

There's another seller now who sells Amiga's stripped down in bits, and he sells every part right down to the case LED's and these are selling, he even sells the box for £20 and people buy it!

He is making over £100 per A1200 this way, now thats just crazy

Thats the thing that saddens me the most, but you can make more money by taking a perfectly good products and selling it off in bits.

I know it is sad, I've had to split a few of my projects that I wanted to sell as a whole unit. But at least I didn't sell the screws and keyboards seprate lol. I mean the ram upgrade/hard drive/accelerators

Steve.

I've done the same with rareish board games that i didnt have enough to make a complete set and made more off the spares than when ive sold the complete unit. On a lighter note its the proceeds form that have mainly funded my amiga projects.

I almost hit the buy button with some of those games he has though... I'm yearning for 2 of them which I'm very fond of! (not moonstone!)... I've started looking for sealed games which I really enjoyed (don't worry, under 20 games )

Sigh, crazy prices though.

Well, if it is BastiBS, then I recall asking him on here a while ago how much he wanted for Turrican 2 as he posted a long list once.

I have a feeling if I bid £85 for that he'd cancel the auction as I'm sure he wanted £150 for it!

Maybe I am crazy paying almost £100 for a game but I recently paid £65 for a CD which was out of print...

Nostalgia is worth more than money as Alex_h once wrote!

Maybe you should invest in a straight jacket

Personally I think ebay is evil or other people shouldn't be allowed to bid on stuff I want

It's that kind of behavior, that drives retro prices sky-high and really makes it difficult to afford for the rest of us. Shame on those guys that willingly buy overinflated games
