Their 3D engine aged incredibly well. Back in the day, I was playing it on a 14" monitor, in 512x384, at a pretty horrible and borderline unplayable framerate.


Now I can finally enjoy it in sharp 1920x1080 on a 50" TV.

Too bad they didn't update engine of Archimedean Dynasty...

I've been playing Mass Effect Andromeda for some time now, and all I can say - what a game and story. Game has quite different fighting style from rest of ME games, and 3 more alien races (one being only AI left) with many systems and planets to explore with very different atmosphere (from toxic rain and radiation to jungle and world that looks straight out of Dune). So far about 100 hours in the game and probably half done with main story line. (save state gives you estimate...) Got 3 planets to 100% viability, and 2 @ around 70-80%, at the moment enjoying side quests and learning about history behind those 2 new worlds.

Voice acting is top and visuals are just something out of this world... worth playing if you like science fiction and if you liked any earlier ME games.

Looks good --- but reviews say combat is yuck...

I recently played game and did not happen to me single time. What are you trying to do? Did you try to climb on table in Purgatory or Afterlife Club with Aria??

I finally finished road rash for the first time (I played it in the 90s, and never had the sticking power in the longer later levels), so now I’m on to the next challenge. Maybe the Lotus series, but I do love some Zeewolf too

Just happened a 4th time on the Island of Jacobs Father

It is a known bug --- but the only solution I have found is:

Edit the the coalesced.ini

Been playing the recent release of Daggerfall: Unity. I must say that the game is in a very playable state now, I completed it with relative ease. I say relative because the game is still as unforgiving as ever so I died about a hundred times. But its good to finally play a really stable build of the game.

Doing side missions on ME Andromeda.... trying to get as many done as possible before continuing main story line.

Modified Nomad with mod to make some serious damage when running over enemies... its more fun and reminds me of Carmagedon. Original damage was minimal - it just kicks enemies far, but no real damage even to shields.

Female Shepard --- so no romance with them possible

I can see possibilities with Jacob, Garrus and Thane ---
But I'd rather have Kelly or Samara

I saw no such option ---> Fish Dead.
Only bought them to give to the Krogan

No? I don't remember that being a limitation... romances are only permanently blocked when you make wrong choices as far as I remember.

As Gimbal already pointed out, there is no such limitation in ME. IIRC offering Kelly to use shower leads to romance once she ask you to join. What about Jack?

BTW, only character that would object strait away is Cora in MEA, but even that is fixable with mods. Mods can change everything, even make your crew walk naked on ship. (not that we would do that, would we? ) BTW, if you are planning to play MEA, I strongly suggest getting mod for doors for Kadara before ever getting there. For some reason that was never fixed by BW and door opens for 15 seconds instead less than 1.

I did not get fish until later in game and she offered to take care of them right away.

Had fun with follow up mission after getting Drack's loyalty ... (will post images once I get home) and almost done with all loyalty missions, still one ark to find and main quest to finish. According to saves, about 67% of the game done.


As for crew gone - go save them!

Too bad while playing last night, had to piss off Drack while saving another Pathfinder... but all cool... Game is actually harder due to his scouts being used as weapon... but can't have everything, and that is best part of this game.

After that mission every character on ship wanted to romance...
