You mean actual commercial releases? I know Aphrodite and Paradox used to do stuff with Amiga, though the later usually linked the Amiga to an Akai 3000 sampler. There are many Amiga jungle/dnb artists that never released commercially though. Your question wasn't specific enough so I don't know exactly what you meant.
In Chipflip's timeline, you can find a list of records released that were done on the Amiga: http://chipflip.wordpress.com/timeline/ Last edited by Amiga1992; 28 September 2012 at 13:26. |

With commercial I mean released in traditional mediums, not MOD music. There's a gazillion of Amiga artists that did DNB and jungle, but MOST of them did not release that music in any way, that music was not spun by any DJs, not played at any party, they didn't play live their music, etc.

Yes of course! The first one that comes to mind is Muffler (who went on to be a professional dnb/now dubstep producer), then you have a bunch of the finns, like Substance or Fanu. Skope made a bunch of dnb tracks too, and so did Mortimer Twang and Qwan I think. There's also Raina, Prob, Bay Tremore.... lots of good drum & bass to check out!

But if we are talking about DnB and why should'nt we, then any artist signed to Hospital Records are swesome. Especially, not in any order, High Contrast, Logistics, Danny Byrd, Netsky, camo & krooked. I am awaiting my signed LPs of S.P.Ys new album to arrive , its taking too long |

I could have sworn SMF used amigas back in the day, SMF Vol.5 has that 8-bit bass and
lo-fi sound.. It's just a hunch, but sounds very 'Amiga' Have a listen.. [ Show youtube player ] [ Show youtube player ] |

Oddly enough I was chatting with Muffler on Twitter the other day. He confirmed he used to use protracker and loved his miggy. He is using Logic these days, I am more of Fruity loops and NI maschine mikro fan myself |

Not entirely drum and bass but commercial releases I know for sure were made using Amiga or in some cases two Amigas synced together:
Nebula II - Seance / Atheama (Reinforced Records) Made entirely using Noisetracker on an Amiga 500 but cleaned up (after recording straight from Amiga) in the studio http://www.discogs.com/Nebula-II-Sea...a/master/59105 Josh Wink - Higher State of Consciousness (Dex & Jonesey Mix) Made using two Amigas running OctaMED and synced - I'm sure CU Amiga ran a feature about it at the time [ Show youtube player ] Power Pill - Pac Man (FFRR) Made using an Amiga A500 but with post-production reverb and processing http://www.discogs.com/Power-Pill-Pac-Man/master/85047 Anything remixed by "Micky Finn" before 1993 (we're all aware of the Urban Shakedown Some Justice track I'm sure). Rotor - [various] (Chill Records/Uproar Records) Including the only commercial release for a track of mine made using Linel's SoundFX in 1990 (but released in late 1991 - thanks, record company) http://www.discogs.com/Rotor-Here-Co...release/106326 [ Show youtube player ] Tracks I've *heard* were made using OctaMED and then had studio polish include Sweet Harmony by Liquid (XL) and Bombscare by 2 Bad Mice but, though rough sounding, there's stereo strings and samples in there... and we're straying into rave territory ;-) |

As far as I know, Dev Paradox still uses his A1200 for live work.
Anything by Bizzy B and Equinox around 93 and 94 was Amiga based. Equinox released some of his old work on vinyl a couple of years ago through his Scientific Wax label (which I did the label art for the 1st release on Sci Wax). I'm pretty sure Breakage told me he used an Amiga for some early Reinforced releases. |

The Psychonauts used at least one Amiga when doing their mix sets. Two DJs, four decks and an Amiga for playing samples. They did CD3 of Cream Live 2 (even tho it is credited to James Lavelle it was actually The Psychonauts that did it).
