I am the maintainer of the emerald mine website listed below and I would just like to say Emerald Web is not dead. Updates dried up because (a) all the emerald mine disks that I owned were posted to the site, and (b) contributions dried up. I am keen to update the website, but I require the material to be contributed. (aside: I recently obtained a small number of disks and am in the process of getting these ready for addition to the site.)

Do a traceroute, you'll probably find the site is hosted by "www.HostsForTheClinicalyInsane.com"

More proof

I'm sure you will...

I realy dont think you would care after paying £250 for a CD

Oh well..

By dead I meant that the links didn't work. The top one now works, but the second one is just an ebay link now.

Just in case that post looked a little confusing the post is split in two, the bit about the traceroute is refering to the site that the initial thread post is talking about

Even better is the freeware Rocks 'n' Diamonds (http://www.artsoft.org/rocksndiamonds/) and it is available for Unix/Linux / Mac OS X / Windows and DOS. I sent the author a large number of Emerald Mine levels which have been added as a level set (~10k levels).

There is also Diamond Caves 2 and 3 by Peter Elzner (shareware though) http://www.diamond-pro.com/.

Yeah, lots of people would love the CD (see previous posts), but it's such a shame that EMC Hollland are such a bunch of tight-asses (as if they OWNED EM). Anyone who pays 350 Euro for a CD (containing PD) should be thrown into an asylum.

That's one reason why I set up my emerald mine website a few years ago, and I will update it one of these days, especially if people are willing to contribute EM disks that are not on the site.

By the way, you woudn't happen to have any of the mines listed in the MIA list would you?

@Galaxy:

I got a DVD with many EM's on it, but i don't have a list this time.

The next Problem is, that i got a list of my EM-Disks, but it's not Compatible to Excel. So i have to write down the whole list again next time.

Cheers

Henry

I got these but I don't know how useful they'll be:

Kid Fun Mine II - after loading it's actually kid fun mine 1 but altered by 'No One Inc' , 40 original levels + 40 new ones (or remixed)

Haunted Mine 5 - loads as 5 then shows 2 title screens saying hm4 , in the menu says 5

and I also got Emeral Mine Tools , whatever that may be.

Hmm. I found Down Under Mine 20, but as only DUM 15 is requested, I guess this has already been upped?! (non-tosec)

... but this definitely has NOT:

Thanks for the Kids Mine upload.
My four year old son loved it.
(makes a change from having to endure the Amiga version of Thomas the Tank Engine every week - that music has driven me potty!)

Thanks for the upload HymnsomniaK. I'll add these to my EM website some time. I'm afraid I don't have any of those ones you want.

Hey Andy,

Do you have an update of your list somewhere?
I have several EM-disks on your list, but I can't follow the updates on this thread during the years. (Even more because the Zone-files are no longer there offcourse)

Anyway, I'm in the process with Galaxy of redoing the Emerald Web website. The new (and temporary) url is http://emerald.stef.be/
I added 5 mines that you and HymnsomniaK were looking for:
Emerald Mine 20
Emerald Mine 21
Emerald Mine 22
Emerald Mine 23
Spudmine 8

HymnsomniaK: Kikaken Mine ? Are you sure you didn't make that one up? Never heard of it!

Anyway ... let me know what you're still missing!
(Or wait a year or so untill I added everything to the Emerald site. A quick count tells me I have about 600 EM disks, allthough its possible that there are a few duplicates)

Regards
Steffest

P.S. Anyone can think of a funky domain for the Emerald site ?
