What is your favorite Sub-Genre of game you would 100% buy for Amiga today?
You have to admit, at the very least it takes serious money and time to produce a new, quality game equivalent to a 90+% review score in the magazine of your choice from the 90's. Suppose an investor wanted to know your straight honest answer on what exactly kind of game you would, with 100% certainty, purchase for the Amiga. What would your answer be?
Asking your favorite Genre of game is too broad, so what is your favorite Sub-Genre of game that you would happily buy without any hesitation for the Amiga today? For me, a business management game, Railroad Tycoon II style would be hard to pass up. What kind of game would you be excited to see appear on retail shelves for these classic line of computers? |

A Civilization or Colonization-style 4X strategy game would be welcome. Most of the recent releases have been platformers or shoot-'em-ups with some exceptions like Slayers of High Toro, Galactica and Tales of Gorluth III.

I'd also like to see a decent strategy or trading game. Hopefully the upcoming Aquabyss will fill that gap a bit.
My favourite Amiga games were the hybrid ones though, mixing strategy/action/rpg/adventure. The likes of BAT, Midwinter, Cinemaware stuff. Maybe, one day we'll see such effort attempted again. |

a J-RPG, i mean old style
turn based battles, no random fights tactics and relax, not stressful to play free savings, without the 'second tough boss-battle after a first tough one, and no save' effect just my dream, i know, Amiga and JRPG are sadly very distant worlds also not easy project, for a single developer, it would require a team like in the golden years just a dream then |

I enjoy mostly platformers, so this genre with a lot of exploration (scrolling screen) is something I would like to have. Something like Kiwi's Tales. Fortunately it IS coming, thanks to Master Mixel.

I would definitely buy a promising 3rd person graphic animated point & click adventure game. I hope that's sub-genrey enough.

Literally anything that involves using your noggin'. Puzzle games like the Power or Clockwiser (but please, no endlessly looping music...), puzzle-lite arcade games like Logical, puzzle adventure games like Valhalla, puzzle platformers like Gods, or just straight up dungeon crawlers like Dungeon Master which are always heavy on the puzzle solving.
Puzzles and riddles is what the Amiga was the best for in my opinion. Heck it is what pulled my parents into computer gaming and made it a family pass time. |

Classic 2D racing games but with fluid fps (25 fps minimum) and preferably about real cars (no futuristic or fantasy stuff) and reality-based locations (no other planets, pink deserts, etc). A proper Out-Run, for instance, would force me to fork my money.
I also like classic 2D point-and-click adventure games, preferably with a well-scripted sci-fi or cyberpunk story (Ã la The Dig, Resonance, Gemini Rue, Primordia, Technobabylon, Shardlight or VirtuaVerse). A high-quality game of this sort would get my money for sure. Some cleverly made 'Metroidvania' or similar platform/adventure style of game can also get my attention. Cave Story was a revelation for me, for instance. A good game of this ilk would also drive me to spend some dosh. |

A Dungeon Master clone that's better than Dungeon Master. Perhaps.

A 2D action adventure with some puzzle elements, a bit of story and some fun gameplay mechanics, Flashback/Another World/Gunpoint/Ronin.

Both P&C adventure games and various style turn-based strategy games, aren't that taxing on the hardware, and can be done with beautiful graphics. Static images, slow moving images, etc.
Also tower defense games. They weren't a thing back in the golden age, but they shouldn't be too difficult now. I am actually surprised that Amiga devs did not invent this genre. It is perfectly suited for the Amiga. |

I think that game like Disciples 2, would be a perfect for even slowest Amiga.
It's sort of similar to Heroes 3, but the gameplay is much more simplified (only few buildings and upgrades), but yet, it preserves the complexity of strategy management very well, and it also (like Heroes 3) have a strong rpg feel, because you lead heroes. From graphical side of things, there's no parallax at all, just the scrolling on the main screen (battles are just with static animated characters (characters don't move on tiles like in Heroes 3, but they are completelly static). One of my all time favorite games, for sure. [ Show youtube player ] |

Strategy game, something like Master of Orion or perhaps like Advanced Wars on GBA.
