sound distortion when using Vampire

Hi Guys,

On my amiga 600 the sound has started to distort when using the vampire accelerator. This is out of the phono sockets out of the rear.

Its not distorting when not using the accelerator.

Any ideas ? Vampire issue ?
Or issue with something on the motherboard, with the extra load of the vampire.

Recapped 600, with New power supply and I've checked voltages on it seemed good.

Thanks

Roger

Some A600s have an issue where they get sound distortion when using PCMCIA, it's more common so perhaps Google that? Stuff like an ethernet card, RAM or Compact Flash adapter. It also makes the screen flicker Using composite. I don't remember the exact cause, maybe PCB design fault but have a Google

You could try to add an additional ground wire from the side of Vampire HDMI plug to the A600 audio RCA connector's ground.

Hi Cheers for the answers guys,

1. Im not using PCMCIA at the moment. I can try without the Vampire and using PCMCIA I guess.

2. "additional ground wire from the side of Vampire HDMI plug"

Sorry Im not on the same level as you. Why ?

To avoid a ground potential difference, if your HDMI and audio wires goes into different devices.
