Digita Organiser

Hello again,
I am trying to run Digita Organiser on AmigaOS 3.2 but an error comes up saying
Error opening "organiser.catalog"
Please ensure that the correct language is included in Locale preferences.

In the Organiser folder the path is Organiser/Catalogs/english/organiser.catalog and the file is in there so Im not sure what I am doing wrong or how to fix it.
Thank you again all, I dont know what I would do without your knowledge.
Cheers

Organiser works fine for me under 3.2.1. Try using SnoopDOS to see what's going on?

This sounds very similar to the issue I fixed in the post here for another piece of software. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=1502308

It's 18+ months since I fixed this, but I recall that the solution was to use a catalog editor, open the file, set a language and save the file. I seem to have archived a copy of 3 catalog editors: CatEdit, EasyCatalog and FlexCat, but can't remember which I actually used - they're all available from Aminet in /dev/misc: http://aminet.net/dev/misc

You sorted that out perfectly

@davethemackem

On my 3.2.1 the organiser.catalog is in Organiser/Catalogs/english/

As far as I can see it's not stored anywhere else

Sounds like you don't have "English" selected as a preferred language in your Locale prefs, just "English_british". Organiser only has a catalog file for generic English, so you need to ensure that you have both languages set in SYS:Prefs/Locale.

Alternatively, if you create Workbench:Apps/Organiser/Catalogs/english_british directory, and copy Workbench:Apps/Organiser/Catalogs/english/organiser.catalog into it, you should also be fine (but at risk of this happening again in some other app later on).

Amazing, such a simple fix. Spot on with the locale once I added English. I was looking at the organizer system rather than the OS settings,
It works a treat so thank you very much for this

Locale is something I'm a bit finicky about, to the point that I contributed updates that should hopefully see release with the next AmigaOS update (whether that's 3.2.2 or 3.3).
