Commodore COS 32 Bit

I downloaded and extracted a Commodore OS 32 bit that was put on a web site from a member of this board. The OS boots to a desktop and runs from the DVD but when I attempt to install it to a hard disk it does not go any further. I have one iso file loaded to the DVD which appears to be the correct file as it does boot. There is a total of 6 rar files but it appears only file one is needed? When first booting there were many error type messages but it continued on to what appears to be a functioning desktop. Can you assist? Thank you

I think you will find that they are all needed. They are linked by virtue of their filenames and the whole archive can be accessed by opening any one of them.

Commodore COS 32 Bit

A few days ago I read of a 32 bit version of a Commodore OS on this forum. I downloaded the OS and booted it. As I began to check out the release I found several major issues. I then found the web site CBMborg that appears to have released it and I posted those questions/issues. I had concerns about any reply since there was no post activity since late last fall. I've also read an older thread on the subject. Is anyone using the OS? Are there current COSV users? What's your experience with the release? Does the owner of the release still support it? Thank you

@zeke1312,

I have merged your two threads on this subject.

It is okay to bump this thread if there is no reply after a few days, so please don't start new threads without a better reason.

Well at this point in time I'll have to assume the "developer" of this OS is no longer here and/or does not support it. Wish they would say one way or another. Why go through the effort of making something such as this and not supporting it?

The owner of the company using the old Commodore trademark and who commissioned COS passed away over Xmas. So the state of the company and products are unknown at the moment.

Sorry I have not been around for a while,I am the one that made this,what are the problems,have you got all the files in one folder and extracted it with winrar..?

Did you get it from here.. http://cbmosvision.webs.com/ if so that's the right place..

It did work OK on my pc that it was made on so it has not been tested on another.

Don't worry about the messages when booting into the live dvd.
