That would be a project worth to complete as we really can't buy these boards anymore...
I've spent some time with them, and I can assure You these Gerbers are useless:

two inner layers are missing, there are only 4 out of 6, and some traces are going through vias

The layers don't always line up properly and also I noticed some slight scaling issues, that's large part of the reason why I didn't realise that Commodore had worked to a 10mil grid sooner. I think it's caused by whatever conversion process CD32Freak was using.

Are there any schematics for it? if not if someone can draw them up in Kicad I could do the design side of it using my measuring method. It might be a bit tricky if it's 6 layers though.

Big grin

I've been away for a while (no, not Coronavirus related ), but try the following zip which includes the inner layers: https://ufile.io/p04168kp

The first conversion step is saving the different SVG layers as PDF with Chrome and figuring out at which scale. So maybe that's why the scaling is wrong, because I don't have a real A2386SX board to compare it with

Hi,

Trying to revive my A2386SX card. Are those gerber files still available ? That could help me figure out if the Varta destroyed some inner traces. My card does not work, still trying to figure out why.

Thanks for your help.
