Speaking of Helicopter's I notice that there are no Helicopter games in the flight sim list, or hot air baloons, or parachutes, gliders and rocket packs. Wasn't there also Space Shuttle simulator ?

We could have the level from Robocop III, or we could maybe have Rocket Ranger.

In fact I think this thread needs it's name changed to "Best 3D Airplane Sim" to resolve my arguments !

I agree, Helicopters sims are indeed flight sims and I love them. I think you should start a new thread Jim, Helicopter sims. Before you do, lets all try and list as many as possible. I can think of Gunship, Gunship CD 32, Thunderhawk, Super Huey 1 and 2, and COALA.
I am not sure if this is ok, but maybe Desert Strike and Jungle Strike as well.

I've just cast my vote for Interceptor, since it was the one I thought was the most fun. I like Falcon better in terms of it being a more realistic sim, but realism often can get in the way of fun.

I know this poll is approaching it's 3rd birthday in a few more months and I'd have voted earlier, but one doesn't want to be too hasty about such things, does one?

I´ve voted for Gunship 2000. I liked this game very much back in the old days. It has everything what a good flight sim must have. I also like most other sims from Microprose but GS2000 is the best

gunship 2000 was sweet!! For once you could use the terrain, not just look at it..
The intro tune sets the mode perfectly, wingmen that you could boss around and a1200 could run on twice the detail

Thunderhawk AH-73M

Also, a nice sim is missing. F15 Strike Eagle II. I suppose it is impossible to incorporate all sims but Thunderhawk AH-73M is definetely a classic...
