No information about the new version of slave whdload
When I run the game under whdload, I don't get information that there is a newer version. I thought it was Winuae 4.10's fault, but under 4.9.1 it doesn't work either. I reinstalled whdload and still the same. Is it possible that Windows is blocking something? Winuae 4.10 Whdload 18.8 Windows 11 Pro

This is probably related to some changes regarding the hosting of the WHDLoad site, Bert needs to adapt various scripts to work properly again. Here's what he wrote in the WHDLoad mailing list:

The Slave Update Check is working correct.
You should check if bsdsocket is enabled in the emu. Only if network access is available to WHDLoad it can check for updates. |

I checked, of course bsdsocket is selected. Internet on os3.9 is also because I checked ibrowse and it works. The slave check also worked on the same configuration some time ago.

You can use set option TRACE which will create a file .whdl_trace. You can check this file if WHDLoad connects and what the result was.

just set it as Tooltype or CLI Argument

Ok, I'm sending a saved trace from the game Ski or Die (slave version from 2006). Whdload should inform about the new version that was released a few days ago.

This was due a broken change on the server side.
It's now fixed and should work again. Thanks for reporting. |
