Freezes in whload preinstalled version of Lemmings

Hi,

I play Lemmings on my A1200 and I have a little problem. The game freezes randomly, one can still hear music and fx and see the mouse cursor move but no more Lemmings move, I have to exit the game by pressing F10 and restart it.

Version of the whdload preinstalled game : Lemmings (2 Disk) v1.4 (2007-01-13).

Is there a patch somewhere ?

I will give a try to the 1 disk version, maybe there's no freezes on this version.

and you both have a valid keyfile ?

This problem is protection related (not all checksums disabled), Psygore knows about it.

Any plans on fixing this? It's unfortunate that one of the most important Amiga games ever doesn't have a proper WHDLoad patch...

Why don't you email psygore? Most slave authors are fine with you emailing them with bugs, I'm sure he will fix it once he knows about it. You can get his email from the info file with the slave, or at the whdload web site.

Yes your right as long as the game is there in the drop down list! Not all are, Twintris for example.

Never noticed a freeze in Lemmings WHDLoad. There are at least 2 preinstalled disk versions available+CDTV. All freeze for you? Psygore knows about it, there are 2 other threads on EAB.

Just make sure to add title of game in bug report and game will be added to drop down menu.
I've done it a couple of times.

Btw, the 2 player CDTV slave is on the ftp in "Commodore_Amiga/Retroplay/WHDLoad_Updates/Games/Beta_or_not_published_installs/" folder.

Thank you guys, the reason I did not contact Psygore by e-mail or submit a bug report is that, as others have pointed out, he is already aware of the problem. That last post by Retro-Nerd was interesting, I am 100% positive that I tried both 1 disk and 2 disks versions but I don't know which SPS versions they were. I will try all three of them and see if they freeze or not. I am determined to complete this game one day on a real Amiga that is why the freezes are disheartening for me.

EDIT: Check Mick's post in the same thread, he also says that one of the 2 disks version freezes.

Just tried it myself and I can also confirm the bug. I looked on Mantis and it has already been reported there some time ago. Lets hope for a fix soon.

2-Disk (and preinstalled) version SPS #132 is supported but bugged. You should try to install these SPS images.
